It's Shameful

It's shameful.
We, as a country are sending service men and women
into battle and as they come home in flag draped caskets
we dishonor their memories and service by not even
providing for them an adequate funeral.
The families left behind are being insulted and penalized
by being given less than $ 5,000 in funeral allowance by
our federal government. The average funeral cost in
Canada if you can beleive the numbers being quoted in
the media is $ 10- $ 12,000.
I will not dwell on the disgrace our legislators should
feel.
Why is it that the Captain of Canada's World Championship
Hockey Team causes more fervor than this kind of
national insult ?
If our Members of Parliament treat people who give
their lives this kind of lack of respect, is it any wonder
we receive the quality of government we are witnessing
today ?
Is there no sense of priority any more ?
Is there no sense of right and wrong any more ?
Are we completely beyond any moral, ethical,
direction ? Is there no such thing as good and evil ?
It's shameful.
