Sometimes Life Is Just Too Good

A winter's day
A cold and windy winter's day
A dreary, blustery winter's day
a light

A winter night
A cold and windy winter's night
A dreary, blustery winter's night
a torch

A winter walk
A cold and windy winter's walk
A dreary, blustery winter's walk
A spark

A fountain
A warm and soothing, healing, fountain
Wet and warm you close your eyes, a fountain
the seed

A dream
Life renewed, truth restored, a dream
Worth pursuing, you alone, a dream
the reason

You know - sometimes life is just too good.
My youngest son has just announced he's getting married. Too cool !
Matt and Eliana...even sounds good together. She is a beautiful lady
and a most welcome addition to the family. Her daughter, Kathy whom
we met in Cuba is a sweetie - a marvellous little girl - we loved her the
day we met her. I'm so proud of Matt - and his brother - I am
truly blessed.
Needless to say there's a little excitement around this household.
They will be married in June when we visit them in Fort MacMurray.
And Tyler, Matt's older brother is going to be there too. Nice.
Tyler, from the newly established Calgary Grose clan was home
last week - left last night.
We managed to get two games of golf in and I haven't had
that much fun since I don't know when. I would rather play golf with
Tyler than anybody else I can think of. Having Matt there would make
it perfect. Playing with Tyler reminds me of playing with my father.
It's got the same feel to it. It's so much more than golf.
Now Scrabble on the other hand..that's a game just meant for
"schoolin !"
T-Bone's visit was his first since he ventured west and
he's missed again already.
Cards...Greeting Cards...Probably because I associated card with "report"
they've never meant that much to me..but this year I got two really special
cards on my birthday - one from my wife and one from my mother - that
darn near brought me to my knees. They were really, really nice. I got a card
from my mother-in-law that made me chuckle and then last night in the mail
we got a card from a longtime friend of the family, Mrs. Timmins in Ottawa.
We'd sent her a card on her birthday just as kind of a little surprise - Charlene's
idea as always - and Mrs. Timmins wanted to acknowledge the gesture.
Nice people deserve to have nice things happen to them - and the Timmins
were always cherished friends of my folks who treated me so very kindly.
And - Mr. Timmins - got his very first "hole in one" very recently...
It's just nice.
You know - block out the nonsense and - Sometimes life is just too good.

Bless
Don
