Blink and It's Over
And here we are back home - weary and happy to be back
but so sad it's over....Months we anticipated our trip to
northern Alberta, to Fort McMurray. This was our first
trip to Fort McMurray - our first time visiting our youngest
son where he has chosen to make himself a home...but
even more importantly - where he decided to get married
for the first time - and he did - and we were there and it
was beautiful...really nice...Matthew was great. His new
bride, Eliana was great. We got to meet her family -
Luis and Lillie , her Dad and Mom and the whole brood...
and all a big rehearsal for the real wedding which takes
place in Chile - Eli's native land - in the New Year..Hence
the earlier mention of married for the first time. Can't
wait. We spent our last two days in Alberta in Edmonton -
I'd never seen the West Edmonton Mall before...beyond my
ability to comprehend. You would need three solid days to
fully appreciate what all is there. Before we got to the
mall we also visited a very nice golf course. Redtail Landing
out by the airport....$ 65.00 with cart...very good value...
links style, target course, ever present breeze, good
entertainment...Also...just so you know - I discovered two
very playable golf courses right in Fort McMurray...
Fort McMurray has a lot more to offer than I ever
dreamed possible...keeping in mind of course that a
visit in winter would be somewhat a different proposition.
Golf Shop Radio Program this week may be the best show
ever...the best in eight years ! My guest is World Golf Hall of
Fame inductee, Canadian Sports Hall of Famer, Marlene
Stewart Streit. What an inspiring lady ! I hope you will
tune in. The world would be a far better place were it full
of straight shooters who called it the way they saw it the
way this lady does. I have a new hero.
That's it for now...I will ramble more later.
Bless
